Belgian court hands down jail sentence to Dieudonné

A Belgian appeal court has sentenced antisemitic French comedian Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala to two months in prison.

Dieudonné had already received a similar from a lower court in Liège after he was found guilty of making derogatory comments towards the mentally handicapped, Jews and homosexuals during a performance in the Belgian town of Herstal in March 2012.

The judge had noted that the comments incited to racial hatred and stigmatised the groups.
