Families of the Israeli hostages received by the Jewish Community of Vienna (IKG)

Survivors of the terrorist attack on October 7th and relatives of the abducted Hamas hostages visited Austria.

IKG President Oskar Deutsch received the family of an Austrian who was taken hostage by Hamas. On behalf of the community, he expressed his deepest condolences to the families and reiterated the importance of all hostages being brought back to Israel safe and healthy. 

Many community members are currently taking a variety of actions under the slogan ” Bring them Home! ” to show the public that we are all still demanding the release of the hostages.

Austrian Federal Minister Karoline Edtstadler received survivors of the brutal massacres by Hamas terrorists on October 7th at the Federal Chancellery. The families described their experiences and the suffering that came with the terror. During the touching meeting, the minister confirmed that Austria continues to stand firmly on Israel’s side in the fight against Hamas terror.
