The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola visited the Jewish Community of Vienna.
The President of the Jewish community of Vienna (IKG) Oskar Deutsch discussed the worrying rise of right-wing extremist parties in Europe with President Metsola. Furthermore, the IKG presented the assistance provided by the Jewish community to more than 1000 Jewish refugees from Ukraine.
During her visit, the President of the Parliament was also able to learn more about the community and its history during a guided tour of the City Temple in the Austrian capital.
EJC President Ariel Muzicant thanked Roberta Metsola for her commitment to the fight against antisemitism and Holocaust remembrance.
