World Jewish Congress Launches Jewish-Muslim Dialogue Group

European Jewish Congress President Pierre Besnainou attended the launching of an new joint World Jewish Congress/Tunisian government ‘Jewish-Muslim Dialogue Group’ held at the opening of a New York art exhibition on Thursday, September 15th.

Entitled ‘Crossing’ the art exhibition by French-Tunisian artist Lisa Seror provided the perfect setting for this bold inter-religious proposal – also present at the opening was the Tunisian Foreign Minister Abdallah Abdelwaheb. Both Serror and Besnainou are Jews of Tunisian origin.

Rabbi Israel Singer, Chairman of the World Jewish Congress also met with the Foreign Minister and President Besnainou to discuss Islamic-Jewish dialogue.
