The European Jewish Congress joined the world in mourning the passing of renowned Holocaust survivor and “Nazi-hunter” Simon Wiesenthal, at the same time saluting his impressive life achievements.
In a press release issued the day of his death in Vienna, on the 20th of September, the EJC declared that Wiesenthal will be remembered for his “courage and conviction” in searching for bringing justice to Nazi criminals over the past 60 years.
Wiesenthal was buried on Friday September 23rd in Israel, in the coastal town of Herzliya.
