European Jewish Congress congratulates President-elect Joe Biden on his election victory

(Sunday, November 8, 2020) – The European Jewish Congress (EJC) sends its congratulations to U.S. President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr on his victory in the American presidential elections.

“President-elect Joe Biden has demonstrated a strong friendship with the State of Israel and the Jewish People throughout his decades in public office,” Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of the EJC, said. “We look forward to working with him, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and the incoming administration on issues of concern to the Jewish community.”

“We would also like to thank President Donald Trump for his years of deep support for the State of Israel, including securing peace agreements and helping build relations with countries in the Middle East. We also remember and cherish the emotional address Vice President Mike Pence gave at the Fifth World Holocaust Forum held in Jerusalem earlier in the year.”

EJC holds Executive Committee meeting in Paris

The European Jewish Congress held its Executive Committee meeting on 10 December in Paris, France, where leaders of Jewish communities gathered to discuss recent developments, exchange best practices and address challenges ahead amid the rising antisemitism after the October 7th massacre.
