(Wednesday, November 23, 2022) – The European Jewish Congress expresses its horror and condemnation at the terror attacks targeting civilians and commuters in Jerusalem this morning.
The explosions, described by the police as terror attacks, occurred at entrances to the Israeli capital. At least one person was killed, with 20 injured, some of whom remain in serious or critical condition. They occurred shortly after 7am, peak commuter hour.
“These cowardly and brutal attacks target innocent civilians and are intended to induce fear and terror. They once again demonstrate the real intentions of Palestinian terror organisations, to maim and kill Israelis and Jews wherever they are,” EJC President Ariel Muzicant said.
“We send our deep condolences to the family of the young student killed and our wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured,” he added.
