EJC lobbies EU Parliament for suspension of Jean-Marie Le Pen

After condemning comments made by Jean-Marie Le Pen at the European Union Parliament when he once again claimed that “gas chambers were a detail of second world war history” the European Jewish Congress (EJC) lobbied at the European Parliament to prevent Le Pen to preside over the chamber’s next inaugural session on July 14th by meeting with Presidents and Members of Parliament of various political groups during the EJC Symposium “Building together the future of Europe” on the 30th of March.

The European Jewish Congress welcomes the Socialist and Green groups decision to charge internal Parliament rules and MEP actions to lift Le Pen’s immunity.
