The Security and Crisis Center (SACC) by EJC held two conferences on Psychological Resilience in London and Manchester on October 30th and November 1 2018, in cooperation with the UK’s Community Security Trust (CST).

In addition, Sacc by EJC held a third conference in Oslo on November 4th 2018 on Terrorism, Crisis Management and Crisis Communication

The conferences in London and Manchester focused on the psychological aspects in the aftermath of a crisis, especially on building resilience for communities and institutions.

At the conference in Oslo, Professor Shlomo Shpiro, a Security and Intelligence expert at Israel’s Bar-Ilan University, shared his analysis of the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Together with psychologist Yotam Dagan, Professor Shpiro concentrated on how to bounce back after a crisis and on the importance for devising the most efficient tools for communication during such events.
