EJC Executive Vice-President Raya Kalenova was hosted by the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities (MAZSIHISZ) in Budapest.
MAZSIHISZ President András Heisler convened a special Executive meeting of Jewish community leaders from across Hungary to discuss pressing issues with Ms. Kalenova, especially continued support for refugees fleeing Ukraine.
Subsequently, Ms. Kalenova visited the Budapest Jewish Charitable Hospital, where she met with Director General Dr. Assaf Shemesh, and delivered a contribution from the EJC consisting of necessary medical equipment.
Finally, Ms. Kalenova met with a group of Ukrainian refugees who are being hosted by the MAZSIHISZ, listened to their concerns and offered practical assistance.
