EJC Vice-President and Director of European Affairs held meeting with Hungarian Minister of European Affairs and Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism János Bóka

EJC Vice-President Raya Kalenova and Director of European Affairs Ariella Woitchik held a productive meeting in Brussels with Hungarian Minister for European Affairs and Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism, János Bóka.

They discussed joint efforts to combat antisemitism in all its forms, both online and offline, and to ensure the safety and well-being of Jewish communities across the continent.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of education, remembrance, and the implementation of national strategies aligned with the EU’s priorities.

The conversation also highlighted the need to foster a vibrant and resilient Jewish life in Europe, including support for cultural, religious, and educational initiatives that celebrate Jewish heritage.

EJC Vice-President praised Minister Bóka for the determination of the Hungarian government to safeguarding and fostering Jewish life in Hungary, showcasing their enduring commitment to fight against antisemitism and implement concrete measures to protect the Hungarian Jewish community.
