EJC President Ariel Muzicant holds series of bilateral meetings in Israel

EJC President Dr Ariel Muzicant held a series of bilateral meetings in Israel with high-level politicians and decision makers.

Dr. Muzicant held meetings with Prime Minister of the State of Israel Naftali Bennett, and Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai in Jerusalem. In addition, he had a call with President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog.

Subsequently, Dr Muzicant met with officials from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jewish Agency for Israel, such as Senior Deputy Director General of Public Diplomacy Noam Katz, Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Amb. Zvi Vapni and Head of the Bureau of World Jewish Affairs and World Religions Shuli Davidovich.

Among topics discussed in the meetings were coordinating efforts between Israel and the diaspora in support of Ukrainian refugees, the security challenges currently faced by Europe’s Jewish communities, a continued response to the rising antisemitism around the world and the nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime.

This was Dr Muzicant’s first series of bilateral meetings with decision makers in his new position as President of the EJC.
