EJC hosts at its Brussels office families of the Israeli hostages taken by Hamas

The European Jewish Congress hosted at its Brussels office families of the Israeli hostages taken by Hamas into the Gaza Strip.

During a meeting with Jewish organisations and representatives of the Israeli government, the families of the hostages shared their heartbreaking testimonies about the unbearable situation they have been experiencing for more than one month.

In a warm and calm atmosphere, they explained what they expected from their visit to Brussels and told those present about their needs and what they could do to help them get back their families from Hamas.

EJC Vice-President and CEO Raya Kalenova assured the hostage families of the unwavering support of European Jewish communities for the release of their loved ones and that the European Jewish Congress is doing everything in its power at the European level to bring their families back.

On the one-month anniversary of the October 7th event, this gathering aimed to shed light on the situation of the more than 240 hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
