EJC Chairman of the Board of Governors meets with Latvian President

The EJC Chairman of the Board of Governors Moshe Kantor met with the President of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, regarding her further commitments to remembrance of the Holocaust through the education of future generations.

President Vike-Freiberga recognized Jewish organizations and institutions for their successful work in bringing up the importance of Holocaust education, specifically congratulating Chairman Kantor for his work in developing the “World Holocaust Forum.”

The World Holocaust Forum was established in 2005 following the First International Holocaust Forum held in Krakow, Poland, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of KL Auschwitz-Birkenau. This international organization is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and its important lessons for all of humanity.
