Amsterdam bans Italian fans with antisemitic history

"Supporters of Lazio Rome are not welcome in Amsterdam... The risk of extreme-right, antisemitic, racist expressions and disturbances is too high," the municipality said in a statement.

Dutch government creates new national strategy for combatting antisemitism

Among other things, the strategy involves the release of an additional €4.5 million for tackling antisemitism from 2025, and the establishment of a “Taskforce for Combating Antisemitism.

A police spokesman said a tram at the '40-'45 Square in the western part of Amsterdam had caught fire, likely caused by fireworks thrown at it. The windows of the tram were also shattered.
