The Greek Jewish Commmunity made a statement calling for zero-tolerance with Neo-Nazi formations in Greece. In the last general elections, far-right parties managed to recieve 12% of the popular vote.

Vaso Stamatiou, one of the last Greek survivors of Auschwitz, has died at the age of 98. She belonged to a group of Greeks who were sent to the death camps after being accused of resistance activities.

The victims of the sinking of the steamship "Tanais", on June 9, 1944, which marked the annihilation of the Jewish community of Crete, were honoured in a solemn ceremony by the Greek Jewish Community in Koum Kapi, at the port of Chania.

Greece’s parliament has banned a far-right political party led by a jailed former lawmaker from participating in the general election later this year. Ilias Kasidiaris, is serving a 13-year prison sentence for being a former leading member of Golden Dawn, a political party of neo-Nazi origins.
