Two sentenced for felling tree in memory of Ilan Halimi

One of them received eight months’ imprisonment, while the other was given eight months suspended.

Jewish community of Bordeaux planted olive tree to denounce antisemitism and to celebrate the release of the living hostages

For the occasion, CRIF Bordeaux-Aquitaine and the Bordeaux Israelite Consistory organised a small ceremony around the planting of the tree. It was a way to pay tribute to Ilan Halimi and Avidan Torgeman, a native of Bordeaux who died in the Hamas attacks of 7 October 2023.
