A bust in memory of Simone Veil unveiled at French National Assembly

A bronze sculpture representing the bust of Simone Veil was unveiled in the French Parliament Quatres-Colonnes garden. The ceremony brought together the president of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, former minister Jean-Louis Debré and Simone Veil's sons, Jean and Pierre-François. 

New Jewish history museum opens in Bayonne

A Jewish museum has been inaugurated in Bayonne tracing the history of the Jewish Community from the 15th century to the present day. 

Artworks stolen by the Nazis go on display in Strasbourg

In Strasbourg an exhibition is bringing together 27 paintings and art objects looted by the Nazis, with the hope of returning them to their original owners or their descendants. Among the works exhibited in Strasbourg, four were owned by Hermann Göring.

Promenade in honour of Aristides de Sousa Mendes inaugurated in Paris

A promenade named after the Portuguese Righteous Among the Nations Aristides de Sousa Mendes was inaugurated on the borders of the 8th and 17th districts of Paris. The Mayors of Paris and Lisbon and the President of CRIF Yonathan Arfi were present at the inauguration.
