Glad you asked

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of an animated video series “Glad You Asked”, created to foster a better understanding of Jewish life in Europe and to counter antisemitism!

Join our three characters – Emma, Alex, and Nathan – as they explore Jewish traditions and values.

Through their journey, we will celebrate the diversity of Jewish life and discover together different aspects of Jewish identity, heritage, and history.

In today’s world, where antisemitic acts and rhetoric have sadly reached an alarming peak, we believe that education and understanding can help to combat stereotypes and break down barriers.

By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire empathy and respect for Jewish communities across Europe and beyond.

This campaign is part of the “BADRI – Bringing Awareness, Dialogue and Resilience Improvement” project, funded by the European Union through the CERV programme.

Glad You Asked – Episode 2: Shabbat

Emma, Alex, and Nathan will guide you through the customs and meaning of this weekly day of rest, offering insights into how Shabbat is observed: from lighting the candles to sharing the traditional Challah bread.

Glad You Asked – Episode 1: Diversity

This episode shines a light on the vibrant tapestry that makes up the Jewish community, celebrating our shared history and highlighting how each culture brings something special to the community.

EJC organises exclusive conference with French Philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy in Brussels

Speaking as a direct witness to the horrors inflicted by Hamas on the Israeli people, Mr Lévy condemned the global apathy and indifference shown towards Israel—the Middle East’s only democracy—as it struggles for survival and stands as a defender of freedom and Western values in the face of terror.
