EJC, EU heads to meet in Slovenia

The heads of the European Jewish Congress and European Union will discuss the Iranian nuclear threat and anti-Semitism. Moshe Kantor, the EJC president, will meet Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa, the rotating head of the European Union, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Slovenian capital of Ljublijana along with other members of the prime minister's cabinet.

EJC meets Greek President and other high-level leadership

A series of high-level meetings were held in Greece on February 4, 2008. The meetings took place within the framework of the National Remembrance Day for Greek Jewish Martyrs of the Holocaust. EJC President Moshe Kantor, Secretary General Serge Cwajgenbaum and President of the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece Moise Constantinis met with Greek President H.E. Karolos Papoulias.

EJC President meets with Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister, Mayor of Jerusalem and Likud Chairman

EJC President Moshe Kantor and Secretary General Serge Cwajgenbaum attended the WJC Governing Board meeting in Jerusalem held on January 29, 2008. On that same day, the EJC, together with Shai Hermesh, President of the WJC Israeli Branch, met with Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Tzipi Livni to discuss urgent issues facing Israel and international Jewry.

European Jewish Congress calls on EU and UN leaders to cease its one-sided Israel bashing that has direct consequences for Jews in Europe

“The constant flow of Israel-bashing by senior leaders in the EU and the UN with little to no criticism of Hamas terror is clearly the main contributory factor to huge growth in antisemitism recorded by all European Jewish communities since October 7 last year,” said EJC President Dr Ariel Muzicant.
