On the occasion of an AIPAC Gala Dinner, EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor was honoured to meet with Czech President Miloš Zeman. Amongst topics discussed was the Ceremony of Unveiling of the Terezin Monument that took place on Monday, 4 June 2018. EJC and its President offered the Monument to the Terezin Memorial in memory of all victims of the Shoah.
The European Jewish Congress held its Executive Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, on 4 June 2018.
The European Parliament Working Group on Antisemitism (WGAS), for which the EJC acts as Secretariat, held a conference titled "Football Unites, Racism Divides”, on the issue of racism and antisemitism in football.
The European Jewish Congress, together with major international Jewish organisations and friends of Israel organised a celebration in honour of 70 years of the independence of the Jewish state.
The European Jewish Congress, together with the Bulgarian Permanent Representation to the EU organised a round table discussion on best practices and strategy towards the implementation of the European Parliament Resolution of 1 June 2017 on combatting antisemitism.
