EJC Executive Vice-President Raya Kalenova expressed her warmest wishes to Ambassador Regev, acknowledging the excellent partnership between the European Jewish Congress and the Israeli Mission to the European Union during these challenging times.

During the event, CRIF President Yonathan Arfi delivered a powerful speech denouncing the normalisation of antisemitism in the country, followed by French Prime Minister François Bayrou, who condemned the alarming consequences of hatred against Jews in France and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding Jewish communities.

During the meeting, EJC Vice-President Raya Kalenova outlined the challenges faced by Jewish communities across Europe and suggested areas of work and cooperation, especially regarding the fight against anti-Zionism and disinformation online.

They discussed joint efforts to combat antisemitism in all its forms, both online and offline, and to ensure the safety and well-being of Jewish communities across the continent.

The meeting was organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the Polish government under the framework of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Dr Kantor expressed and reaffirmed the unwavering solidarity of European Jewish communities with the State of Israel during these challenging times.
