EJC organised EU-funded interfaith conference in Brussels in partnership with SACC by EJC and Faith Matters

The conference, funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV) as part of the “BADRI - Bringing Awareness, Dialogue, and Resilience Improvement” project, provided a unique opportunity to address the shared challenges faced by faith-based communities and explore collaborative solutions.

EJC leadership participates in WJC delegation marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau

EJC President Ariel Muzicant, alongside EJC Vice President Raya Kalenova and EJC Director of European Affairs Ariella Woitchik, took part in the World Jewish Congress delegation to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and death camp.

EJC partners with EU institutions for 2025 IHRD commemoration 

EJC Executive Vice-President Raya Kalenova spoke on behalf of European Jewish communities and stated that, 80 years after the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, "despite the Nazis' attempt to erase Jewish life from history, we are still here. European Jewish communities, though diminished, remain resilient and determined to preserve their heritage and identity for future generations."

EJC organises event marking 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau

At an event organised by the European Jewish Congress in Brussels, Members of the European Parliament, prominent Belgian politicians, ambassadors and diplomatic representatives, senior EU officials, and leaders of the Jewish community gathered to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and honour the memory of the victims of the Shoah amid rising antisemitism in Europe.

EJC holds Executive Committee meeting in Paris

The European Jewish Congress held its Executive Committee meeting on 10 December in Paris, France, where leaders of Jewish communities gathered to discuss recent developments, exchange best practices and address challenges ahead amid the rising antisemitism after the October 7th massacre.

EJC partners with UNESCO in the organisation of high-level conference on addressing antisemitism through education in Paris

EJC President Dr. Ariel Muzicant delivered the opening address following the welcoming remarks by UNESCO Assistant Director-General Stefania Giannini, Deputy Permanent Representative of the EU to UNESCO Michaela Andresova, and European Commission DG EAC Equality Coordinator Hristina Petkova.

EJC organises high-level security conference in Brussels in cooperation with the Hungarian Presidency of the EU and the European Commission

EJC Executive Vice-President Raya Kalenova delivered the welcoming remarks at the conference, where she highlighted the important role that the EJC and its Security and Crisis Centre (SACC by EJC) have played over the years in protecting Jewish communities across Europe.
