EJC Executive Vice-President participates in Hungarian Holocaust Memorial Day event

EJC Executive Vice-President Raya Kalenova took part in a commemorative event ahead of the Memorial Day of the Hungarian Victims of the Holocaust, hosted by H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium and Luxembourg.

EJC delegation held high-level meetings in Israel to express their solidarity and support with the Jewish state

The members of the EJC had the possibility to discuss with Israeli politicians about the rise of antisemitism in Europe after the Hamas massacre of October 7th and the current state of Jewish communities and organisations on the European continent.

Austrian delegation traveled to Israel and met with Israeli President, members of the Knesset and hostage families

EJC President Dr Ariel Muzicant was part of the delegation led by Austrian National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka. He also held numerous private meetings with Israeli politicians and relevant stakeholders.

EJC co-organises conference with Israeli expert on sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas

The keynote speaker of the event was Professor Yifat Bitton, co-founder and chair of Tmura, The Israeli Center for Equality, and President of Achva Academic College of Science & Education in Israel, who engaged in a dialogue with Belgian MP Viviane Teitelbaum.

EJC co-organises event in the European Parliament on sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th

The event was co-hosted by Vice-President of the European Parliament, Pina Picierno (S&D), MEP Ilana Cicurel (Renew Europe), MEP Assita Kanko (ECR), MEP Monika Hohlmeier (EPP) and MEP Katrin Langensiepen (Greens/EFA).

EJC Executive Vice-President attends CRIF’s 80th-anniversary reception at the Elysée Palace in Paris

EJC Executive VP Raya Kalenova attended the 80th-anniversary reception of CRIF, which was hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. During the event, Macron pledged to combat antisemitism amid its dramatic rise in the country.

EJC hosts delegation of young Jewish activists

This was the ninth time that the EUJS delegation visited the EJC, signaling the strong partnership, friendship and commitment of both organisations in the service of European Jewish communities.
